My story…

Hello! Thank you for visiting Rose + Rust. I am a 50-something native Texan, living in a small rural Central Florida town. I’m married to a wonderful man who never complains about my truckloads of junking finds, crazy DIY ideas, ever changing garden designs or new recipes. Twenty-five years ago, I opened an online home & garden store. Years later, I closed it, making the decision to focus on family. At that time my husband was active-duty military, we were in the process of adopting three little boys, and I found out I was pregnant. Good things come in big packages! Through the years, we moved countless times and fixed up more houses than I can count on one hand, but we always made it home. Our home.

Fast forward to today; the boys are grown and flown & off pursuing their careers and my daughter will soon be off at college. And here I am, back where I started. Older. Wiser. Still Passionate. Still Creating. Still Me.
